Wine Farm Wedding Venues for 50 to 120 Guests

A guest list of about 80 to 120 is the sweet spot for many Cape wine farms: big enough for a dance floor, small enough that you can still take over a barn, cellar or courtyard without a marquee village. This guide lists wine farm wedding venues for 100 guests (and nearby sizes from about 50 to 120) where our audit records a matching seated capacity, with ceremony options and published prices with the year they apply to.

How we checked this

Every venue comes from our Western Cape wine farm wedding audit (Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Constantia, Durbanville and Walker Bay), checked against official estate websites and package PDFs on 5 October 2026. A venue qualifies if its audited max guests seated is about 80 to 120, or a named wedding space is built for that band, and the audit shows it hosts weddings (yes) or wedding-style celebrations (limited) with a source link. We are honest about ranges: some estates publish 80 in one space and more outdoors; others seat 120 indoors. Prices are copied as published with the year; historic or undated rates are flagged. Package totals, venue hire and minimum spends aren't ranked against each other. Elgin and the outer regions aren't covered yet.

How venues qualify for a mid-size wedding

• Capacity. Prefer estates whose main wedding space seats roughly 80 to 120 with room for a dance floor. A farm that seats 350 can still work if you book a mid-size space (for example Franschhoek Cellar's smaller rooms), but this list focuses on estates whose audited max sits in the mid band.
• Dance floor. Ask whether the published seated number already includes a dance floor. Several estates publish different figures with and without one.
• Minimums. A venue that seats 100 may still require a minimum spend or guest number that changes your budget. Confirm both.

Verified mid-size wine farm venues

Stellenbosch and surrounds

Fort Simon Wine Estate. The 1901 Houmoed Chapel (air-conditioned, wooden pews) and Fort Anna Hall take up to 120. Sun-Kissed packages for 1 September 2026 to 30 April 2027 start at R79 750 for 50 guests and R102 000 for 80, plus R850 per extra guest; Winter packages for 1 May to 31 August 2027 list up to 100 guests at R112 500 (as published by the venue). Catering and a décor team are in-house. Overnight stays are at neighbouring Eikenhof, not on Fort Simon.

De Meye Wines. A converted dairy barn among oaks and vines. The 2026/27 packages (valid 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027) include Sweet Spot at R45 000 for 60 to 120 guests, Petite at R29 800 for up to 60, and all-inclusive Package Four at R111 000 for up to 50 (as published by the venue). Audited seated capacity is 120.

Vergenoegd Löw Wine Estate. Valentina's Chapel and Clara's Barn for up to 80, with a boutique hotel for up to 44 overnight. Intimate Gathering packages are from R203 696 (1 May to 30 September 2026) to R258 884 in the festive window; Estate Affair packages start higher (2026–2027 brochure, VAT included).

L'Avenir Cellardoor. Venue-only packages for up to 100. Package 2 for May to September 2025 listed 0–45 guests from R46 277 and 61–100 from R55 957; later PDFs cover May 2026 onward, so ask for the file that matches your date (as published by the venue).

Longridge Wine Estate. Rykaart's function package for a full-day wedding needs a R150 000 minimum spend in high season (November 2025 to end October 2026). Audited capacity is 100 seated.

Post House Vineyards. A former fermentation cellar with Helderberg and False Bay views for up to 80. The live venue page lists a wedding at R20 000, venue hire at R15 000 and ceremony hire at R5 000 (undated page, read 5 October 2026).

Middelvlei Estate. The Wine Barn seats up to 120, with ceremonies in the barn or on the adjacent lawn. Current hire isn't published on the live weddings page (a 2018 portfolio is historic), so ask for a quote.

Blaauwklippen Wine Estate. Audited capacity 100 seated, with ceremonies and receptions on a historic Stellenbosch estate. Rates on enquiry.

Franschhoek

Grande Provence. Garden, Gallery and Jonkershuis options for up to 120, with exclusive use and on-site Owners Cottage accommodation. Pricing is reviewed each September; packages are on request.

Holden Manz. River-confluence ceremonies and restaurant receptions for up to 120, with Country House suites and a coordinator. Packages on request.

Vrede en Lust. The glass-enclosed Vineyard Terrace and gardens seat up to 120 (150 standing). The Residence small-wedding fee is R24 000 (September 2025 to August 2026) plus a three-night stay; main Terrace hire is on enquiry.

Haute Cabrière. Terrace and Deck for 80 seated / 100 standing, with a vaulted cellar gallery. Minimum spends for 2025 ran from R30 000 (June to August) to R80 000 in midsummer; the estate noted 2025 was fully booked, so enquire for 2026.

Maison Estate. Exclusive-use oak-tree ceremonies and Chefs Warehouse receptions for up to 80. Exclusive packages for 2025/2026 start at R371 000 low season (three-night minimum), excluding food and drink (as published by the venue).

Mont Rochelle. Virgin Limited Edition vineyard hotel for up to 80, from the Perfectly Intimate package at ZAR 27 750 for up to 10 guests (plus accommodation) to exclusive-use nightly rates in the 2025 brochure.

Paarl and Constantia

Babylonstoren. Old Cellar long-table seating for 100, plus the smaller Wheat Barn (46) and White Studio (38). Studio packages are from R449 800 low season May to August 2026 (R463 000 in 2027); Old Cellar packages start higher. Food and drinks are extra, with family-style menus from R1 250 per person (2026) plus 15% service.

Vondeling Wines. St Clement Chapel and a thatched reception venue for 30 to 100, with a restored Farm House (seven en-suite rooms). Packages on request.

Canto Boutique Wines, Durbanville. Functions pack for 100 inside plus 30 outside, exclusive use from R6 000 Monday to Thursday daytime (2024/2025 pack). Staff and a R5 000 breakage deposit are extra.

Constantia Uitsig (Limited). Chardonnay Deli celebrations for 40 to 90, with complimentary venue hire for exclusive use (minimum 40) and food packages from R250 to R450 per person (2026). Weddings aren't named on the deli page.

Walker Bay

La Vierge Wines. Flexible indoor and outdoor seating for up to 120 (per corporate hire copy). Enquire for wedding rates.

Stanford Hills Estate. Special functions for up to 100. Rates on enquiry.

Boschrivier. Audited capacity 100 seated. Rates on enquiry.

Booking tips for about 100 guests

• Confirm the dance-floor number. Ask for seated-with-dance-floor capacity in writing.

Do we need a marquee for 100 guests?

Not always. Many barns and halls on this list seat 100 indoors. A marquee helps when the only large option is a lawn, or as a rain backup for a garden ceremony.
