Wine Farms with Kids Menus Near Cape Town
Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek and Constantia wine farms with real kids menus, kids plates and kiddies meals, audited offers only, with drive times.
Searching for a kids menu wine farm Cape Town families can actually use usually means more than "ask the kitchen to adapt a dish." Parents want a named children's menu, kids plate, or clear kids meal offer so ordering is fast and little ones know what they are getting. This guide now covers Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek and Constantia family-audited farms, and other regions will follow as audits complete. Always reconfirm menus and ages on the farm's own site before you drive out.
For broader shortlists, start with family-friendly wine farms in Stellenbosch family-friendly wine farms in Paarl family-friendly wine farms in Franschhoek and family-friendly wine farms in Constantia. Pair food stops with wine farms with play areas, grape juice tastings, our family wine farms FAQ, and the booking guide for wine farms with kids.
What counts as a kids menu here
We include farms where the audit found a kids_menu flag or clear kids meals in the highlight or notes (dedicated Kiddies/Kidium menu, kids plate, children's picnic menu, or stated kiddies meal options). Farms that only say "kitchen can adapt" without a kids offer, or where a kids menu was discontinued, are out. Limited farms are labelled so we do not oversell. Drive times are about X min from Cape Town without traffic.
Stellenbosch farms with kids menus
Skilpadvlei
About 35 min from Cape Town without traffic. Skilpadvlei pairs dedicated kids meals with a non-alcoholic sweets pairing and a large play area/jungle gym beside the restaurant. Booking is recommended on weekends and for groups. Use the restaurant as your base: kids meals for the table, sweets pairing if you want a tasting-style treat, and eyes on the jungle gym between courses.
Zevenwacht Wine Estate
About 33 min from Cape Town without traffic. Zevenwacht's restaurant kids menu sits with a children's playground by the lake lawns, a Kiddies Tasting (milkshake-style drinks with pizza and chocolates at audit) and kids picnic baskets. No dogs or pets and no outside food or wine. Book ahead for busy weekends and confirm summer picnic hours so the kids menu and playground fit the same visit.
Spier Wine Farm
About 36 min from Cape Town without traffic. Spier audits a kids menu alongside children's picnic baskets (from R200 under 12 at audit; adults from R425), 24-hour pre-booking, and no outside food or drink. The Elemental Play Garden and Garden Mixologist cordial experience (ages 3+) make it easy to plan a full kids-food day. Hotel Buzz Club is for hotel guests only. Book picnics and key experiences via the booking guide.
Le Pommier Wine Estate
About 49 min from Cape Town without traffic. Le Pommier combines a kids menu and kids pricing with juice/pizza or flavoured-milk pairings (R115 per child when we checked) and toddler-friendly play (jungle gym, swings, sandpit) by the restaurant lawns. Families are welcome in the restaurant and outdoor grass areas; the wine tasting area is adults-only (18+). No dogs. Book when weekends look busy and keep kids on the restaurant/lawn side.
Hartenberg Wine Estate
About 38 min from Cape Town without traffic. Hartenberg's headline kids-food offer is the official picnic kiddies menu with juice box — a kids plate (R145 at audit: chicken strips or hake fingers, fries, corn, brownie and juice box) rather than a vague "half portion." A dedicated kiddies play area among shaded lawns supports the picnic. Picnics run Thursday–Sunday seasonally, with winter hibernation noted on the visit page; booking is essential.
Idiom Wines (and Da Capo vineyards)
About 52 min from Cape Town without traffic (Idiom visitor centre). Idiom's official summer menu includes the Kidium / kids menu (penne and similar) plus pizza, with an eco-safari drive among vineyards, fynbos and game. The public visitor experience for Da Capo Vineyards is at Idiom on those vineyards — same kids menu and pizza story, booked via Idiom. Pre-book the safari and name child counts when you reserve so Kidium portions land with the adult table.
Zorgvliet Wines
About 50 min from Cape Town without traffic. De Vliet Country Bistro carries a kids menu and pizzas beside Grapes & Greens picnic lawns with jungle gym and sandpit. Blankets and umbrellas are provided for the picnic area (about 400 m into the estate). Booking is advisable for restaurant and picnic so the kids menu and play kit share one visit.
Longridge Wine Estate
About 40 min from Cape Town without traffic. Rykaart's offers a simple kids meal for under-12s amid free-roaming ducks and cattle on a biodynamic farm. State child count when booking. Pets are not allowed on the estate. A dedicated playground was not confirmed on official pages at audit — come for the kids meal and farm-animal atmosphere, not a jungle-gym day. See also wine farms with farm animals.
De Meye Wines
About 34 min from Cape Town without traffic. The Table restaurant caters for children with a kiddies menu or half portions on oak-shaded lawns (kids 6–12: 50% set menu or kiddies menu — confirm current price on the FAQ). Picnic blankets for younger kids on the lawn; soft balls only in the designated area. No visiting dogs. Working farm — supervise children. Seasonal pick-your-own lavender is a separate activity.
Lievland Wine Estate
About 40 min from Cape Town without traffic. Lawn picnics overlooking the dam with a children's picnic menu on request (R200 at audit); adult picnic R350 pp. Cafe on site. No dedicated playground verified on official pages — this is a picnic-menu farm, not a play-park stop. Book the kids picnic menu when you reserve blankets so the kitchen knows ages.
Annandale Wine Estate
About 38 min from Cape Town without traffic. Limited: relaxed Helderberg tasting with casual deli/platters and a children's menu noted on Stellenbosch Wine Routes (secondary listing). Permanent playground not verified. Harvest-festival kids activities are event-only. Confirm the children's menu directly with the farm when you book tasting or lunch.

Official site emphasises the family-owned winery/shop; no play area verified on official pages. Treat as a casual food stop with a listed kids menu — reconfirm on the day.
Middelvlei Estate
About 44 min from Cape Town without traffic. Limited: relaxed farm braai and tasting with kiddies options available on the day (ask staff) and occasional Family Day kids pricing. Restaurant renovations were noted at audit (barn service interim). Dedicated playground not clearly itemised — ask for kiddies options when you arrive rather than expecting a printed kids-menu PDF.
Hazendal Wine Estate
About 39 min from Cape Town without traffic. Kids menus sit with Wonderdal (ages 5–13), a fantasy tree playground, picnic lawns and casual food options flagged for families. Confirm which venue is serving the kids menu on your date (Wonderdal families page vs estate dining venues). Book Wonderdal sessions separately; cashless estate.
Vergelegen
About 49 min from Cape Town without traffic. The Stables kiddies restaurant menu is verified in the audit, with seasonal camphor-forest kiddies picnic menus (ages 3–10 when picnics are open). The Children's Adventure Garden beside the restaurant is temporarily closed from 14 September to 14 October 2026 (reopens 14 October); the vine maze is in the East Garden. No private picnics; no pets. Book ahead and check seasonal picnic closure.
Warwick Wine Estate
About 39 min from Cape Town without traffic. Kids picnic baskets (historically meat/vegan options for ages ≤10) and casual food on the lawns sit with the Fountain of Youth play area and jungle gym. Pink Valley Wines
About 38 min from Cape Town without traffic. A dedicated kids menu beside a play area/jungle gym in clear view of restaurant lawns, with burgers and tapas for adults. Not pet-friendly. Book so you can sit with eyes on the play kit.
SylvanVale Vineyards (Devon Valley Hotel)
About 45 min from Cape Town without traffic. SylvanVale is tasted at the Devon Valley Hotel, whose restaurant offers kiddies menu options, and the hotel says it has a play area for kids. These are hotel amenities rather than tasting-room extras, so confirm when you book. Tasting at the Cedarwood Lounge & Bar runs Mon–Sat 12:00–18:00.
Paarl farms with kids menus
Fairview
About 46 min from Cape Town without traffic. Fairview's Goatshed kids menu (under 12) covers pizza, burgers and toasties, alongside the iconic Goat Tower and a kids' cheese tasting with lemonade (R65 at audit). Groups of 10+ must book tasting. No dedicated playground verified on official pages; outdoor farm spaces around the Goat Tower and Goatshed. September kidding season may bring baby goats to the tower.
Laborie Wine Estate
About 40 min from Cape Town without traffic. Laborie's Stoep kids menu (the Stoep reopened on 1 October 2026 after its winter pause; Suzanne restaurant is closed for rework) includes Monday kids-eat-free for 12 & under, plus a kids milkshake pairing (R75 at audit). Lawn picnics with kiddies options (Crate Escape — book 48h ahead) and a jungle gym among the vines near the Stoep. Strong all-rounder when you want a printed kids menu, not only a picnic bag.
Rhebokskloof Wine Estate
About 52 min from Cape Town without traffic. El Picoteo kids menu (PDF 2026 at audit: pizza, mac & cheese, chicken strips, hake, burger, spaghetti roughly R65–R89) plus kids picnic baskets (Kid's Picnic under 12 R205; book 24h ahead; season Sep–May), jungle gym, jumping castles and a pizzeria. Pets on leash welcome. Book picnic and restaurant so the kids menu and play share one afternoon.

Wed–Sun Kiddies Tasting / Skool Vakansie Pret (R100 at audit) packages a kiddies meal and slushy with jumping pillow, water slide and Toeka Stoor antiques playground. Wood-fired pizza and the Toeka coffee shop cover casual food. Confirm play areas are open on wedding or event days.
Nederburg Wine Estate
About 50 min from Cape Town without traffic. Kids menu flagged alongside a signature sweet-treat kids pairing and a large playground with zip line and jungle gym beside Manor House lawns. Pre-book tastings; official site is age-gated. Use the kids menu/pairing with playground time rather than treating lawns alone as the kids offer.
Under Oaks
About 50 min from Cape Town without traffic. Wood-fired pizzeria under oak trees with lawns, a jungle gym, and kiddies meals corroborated in family listings. Pizzeria closed Mondays. Plan lunch around the oaks so kids can play between pizza courses.
Vrymansfontein

Book tasting via the farm; kids menu verified on the restaurant site. Same farm brand as Retief Wines — use Pearl Mountain / Blacksmith's Kitchen for the kids-menu stop.
Klein Parys Wine Estate
About 44 min from Cape Town without traffic. Limited: Oppiestoep Restaurant's Little Ones menu has chicken strips and chips (R75), a pita bacon-and-cheese toastie (R65) and a kids pizza (R85) at audit, with burgers and pizzas for adults. No play area found. Closed Sundays and Mondays.
Franschhoek farms with kids menus
Franschhoek Cellar (with Bellingham)
About 55 min from Cape Town without traffic. The July 2026 menu PDF has a full under-12 kiddies menu: platter, burger, pizza, pasta, shakes and boxed juice. It's served beside a covered, fenced play park with childminders. Bellingham wines are tasted here, so this is one stop, not two. Walk-ins welcome; cashless.
Leopard's Leap Family Vineyards
About 53 min from Cape Town without traffic. The rotisserie restaurant has a dedicated kiddies menu, plus small plates, burgers, pizzas and braaibroodjies (Wed–Sun 11:00–16:00), next to a free pump track and jungle gym. Closed on Christian religious holidays.
Boschendal
About 47 min from Cape Town without traffic. Our audit flags a kids menu, and the Werf picnics offer a kids basket for ages 3–12 (R250 at audit; pre-book 24h). The Deli serves breakfast and all-day casual food, including wood-fired pizza, and the Tree House playground is on the same farm. Cashless.
Allée Bleue Estate
About 49 min from Cape Town without traffic. Herb-garden picnics (Wed–Sun and public holidays; booking essential) with wood-fired pizza and a jungle gym nearby. A kids picnic appears only on the Dineplan booking listing, not the official site, so check ahead when you book.
La Motte
About 53 min from Cape Town without traffic. L'Ami Family Brasserie offers options for children, and a farmyard-inspired playground sits beside the Bakery & Garden Café lawns. Photo ID at security; cashless.
Vrede en Lust
About 41 min from Cape Town without traffic. Lust Bistro & Bakery serves kiddies menus beside a safe outdoor play area next to the gardens. Pet-friendly on a leash; cashless.
Rickety Bridge
About 56 min from Cape Town without traffic. The official winter menu has a Kids Menu: margherita pizza (R85) and cheeseburger and chips (R95), plus juices and milkshakes. The Wine Tram also lists a kiddies pairing. There's no dedicated play area — the official FAQ describes open spaces for families. No pets.
Haute Cabrière
About 58 min from Cape Town without traffic. Limited: a Little VIP Menu (two courses, R190 per person at audit) on the mountain-view terrace, plus a walk-in bakery open daily. Lunch bookings need a deposit, and there's no public playground.
Deux Lions (La Bourgogne)
About 61 min from Cape Town without traffic. Limited: the menu PDF lists kiddies meals for 12 and under (fish fingers, nuggets, toasted cheese) and a children's breakfast selection. Closed Mondays; no playground verified.
La Petite Ferme
About 59 min from Cape Town without traffic. Limited: fine dining with an official over-6s kids menu (two courses R300 / three courses R400 with a soft drink). Inside Guide reports a second menu for under-6s. There's a big lawn with peacocks but no play area. Tastings must be pre-booked; not pet-friendly.

About 66 min from Cape Town without traffic. Limited: pre-booked riverside picnics include a children's picnic option (book and pay at least 12 hours ahead). No playground verified.
Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines
About 57 min from Cape Town without traffic. Limited / hotel guests: the Leeu Collection family factsheet lists kids menus at The Dining Room, mainly for hotel guests. The Wine Studio itself is a bookable adult tasting.
Left out on purpose: Mont Rochelle's chefs make child-friendly dishes on request, but there's no fixed kids menu, so it falls under our "kitchen can adapt" rule.
Constantia farms with kids menus
Constantia is the quickest kids-menu lunch from the city: all three farms below are about 22–25 min from Cape Town without traffic. Each has a children's menu flagged in our audit, so there are no limited entries here.
Groot Constantia
About 24 min from Cape Town without traffic. The official family page confirms that both of the estate's restaurants, Jonkershuis and Simon's, offer children's menus. Both also do picnic baskets with a kids' option (the Jonkershuis Kids Picnic was R200 and Simon's child picnic basket R295 at audit; book 24–48 hours ahead). After lunch, kids can feed the ducks at the pond, run on the lawns or explore the Visitors Route museum. Wheelchair accessible. You can't bring your own food onto the estate, so book ahead.
Constantia Uitsig
About 22 min from Cape Town without traffic. Blockhouse Kitchen has an extensive kids menu from breakfast to dinner, with an enclosed, shaded playground overlooking the outdoor tables. The Bike Park next door welcomes riders from about 2–3 on balance bikes. No dogs on the estate. Book your table ahead.
Steenberg Vineyards
About 25 min from Cape Town without traffic. Two restaurants, two kids menus: Tryn publishes a children's menu for under-10s (breakfast and lunch) and describes a relaxed, family-friendly garden setting, while Bistro Sixteen82 has a children's menu for under-12s. There's no dedicated playground, so pack a small activity bag for the table; the garden audio tour makes a gentle wander afterwards. A visitor guide lists Steenberg as wheelchair accessible, but pets aren't allowed. Bookings recommended.
Left out on purpose (Constantia): Constantia Glen has burgers and schnitzel but no dedicated kids menu (and under-12s are kept to Cobblestones seating), while Beau Constantia's Chefs Warehouse and Silvermist's KODO have no children's menu. Details are in our Constantia guide.
How to use this list
1. Pick one stop per region (Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek or Constantia) only if ages and nap times allow — two kids-menu lunches in one day is usually too much. 2. Say ages when you book so staff can hold high chairs, kids picnic bags or Kidium portions. 3. Cross-check play and juice offers on play areas and grape juice tastings rather than assuming every kids-menu farm has both. 4. More on etiquette and planning sits in the family wine farms FAQ.
