Constantia Uitsig is Constantia's strongest play-and-eat stop, about 22 min from Cape Town without traffic. Blockhouse Kitchen has an extensive kids menu from breakfast to dinner, and an enclosed, shaded playground overlooks the outdoor seating, so you can eat while they play. Next door, the Bike Park has 2.8 km of pump tracks and trails, with little ones welcome from about 2–3 on balance bikes. Day riders paid R75 an hour or R100 a day when we checked (no booking needed), and family memberships are available. A visitor guide lists a kids picnic at R205, and the estate also hosts the Heritage Market and kids' birthday parties. Note that dogs aren't allowed on the estate, and the same guide lists it as not wheelchair accessible. Book restaurant tables and picnics ahead.
